I'm 48, and I don't impulse-buy. I've bought enough things I only half-liked to know the difference between wanting something and wanting it in my life.

I already had Lucy on a flask I take everywhere, so I was not exactly a neutral party. But when I saw her sand-etched into actual lead-free crystal, carved deep int he glass instead of printed on top, I was in trouble. I bought two stemless wine glasses to test the theory. Then I kept going.

Start here. It's their bestseller, and it's the glass I reach for every single night: red, white, water, the occasional juice I'm pretending is breakfast. It holds 14 ounces and fits the palm of my hand like it was measured for it. The crystal genuinely sparkles, which does something faintly ridiculous to an ordinary Tuesday pour. And everytime someone new picks one up, they turn it slowly, go quiet, and then laugh when they realize the pattern is an octopus. That is the whole pitch, really. Set of 2, $75.

When the wine deserves a little ceremony, I use the tall red wine glasses. The bowl is generous, 22 ounces, so a big Cabernet has room to open up, and Lucy looks even better stretched across the taller shape. They're light to hold and, somehow, feel expensive in a way I can't fully explain. One warning: set these in front of guests and they will quietly try to take them home. I have watched it happen. These made cocktail hour fun again. Modern and a little vintage all at once, they sit low and firm on the counter with no delicate stem to knock over, which matters more than you would think by the third round. They run a touch sturdier than the thinnest pieces, so I'm not holding my breath everytime someone reaches for one. Dirty martini one night, a scoop of sorbet the next. They don't judge. This is the newest one, and it's a showoff in the best way. It's built on that big European copa shape, a wide 26-ounce bowl made for a proper G&T loaded with ice and citrus and something botanical. I use mine for spritzes and sangria too, and the occasional margarita I've overpoured. It makes a regular drink feel like a small event, which is exactly the energy I want on a Friday. For an old-fashioned, a Negroni, or just good whiskey over one big cube, this is the glass. It's thin and light, with a weighted bottom, which is the exact thing cheap glasses never get right. I'll be honest, it is a little silly how much I enjoy simply holding it. It's the highest-rated glass they make, and I understand why every time I pick one up. Set of 2, $85.

Every collection needs a centerpiece, and this is mine. It's handcrafted from clear crystal right here in the US, holdls 22 ounces behind a snug sealed stopper, and wears Lucy large across the front. It looks better in person than in any photo, which I did not expect and now say to everyone. Half barware, half sculpture. I've given it as a gift twice, and both times it was the thing people couldn't stop picking up. $170.

This is where a few glasses become a scene. It stands a full foot tall, holds 70 ounces, roughly two liters, and makes a statement even next to plain everyday glasses. Sangria, lemonade, a batched cocktail for the people who actually showed up on time. It's substantial, it pours clean without dribbling everywhere, and it's the kind of piece I already know I'll hand down to someone someday. $115.

It's lead-free crystal, etched by hand so Lucy lives deep in the glass and isn't going anywhere. Thin and light where it counts, weighted where it matters, with that real crystal ring when you toast. It comes mostly in sets of two, which is dangerous, because you will want the next set. Sophisticated without being fussy, which is a harder thing to find than it should be.
